A few interesting phone calls

In the last couple of days, I've had a few interesting phone calls. I talked with two recruitment agencies this week. Propel London and Full Circle Recruitment. Both mentioned that they had opportunities to discuss when we talked. Of course, I was a little groggy both mornings that I spoke with them. It was 5am in Seattle and noon / 1pm in London.

I have interviews set up with Propel on May 13 and no real interviews with Full Circle at this time. This morning, while I was at spin class with Lesley, I was really thinking of why I'm going to London in May when my Tier 1 visa was only supposed to start June 22. I tried to convince myself that I should only go later in the year, maybe after the summer to recon/recce London. Why do I need to leave so early? - I asked myself. Well, really the purpose of my May trip to London is as described. It's a reconnaissance trip. What are the differences between Seattle and London? Is the weather really just as bad as Seattle? What will I like or dislike about London? I know I don't like too large of a city, but will London prove to be different?

After some contemplation and some conversations with the Matriarch, I decided to buy my tickets.

$714.50 round trip on United
SEA - IAD - LHR May 12
LHR - ORD - SEA May 24

Now I just have to find lodging.

Getting Started...

Welcome to my little nook, probably no larger than one-one-trillionth the size of the internet. This blog is by no means a place to become famous like Julie and Julia, but it really is just the place where I collect my thoughts on a potential move to London from a small wet town called Seattle.
